We get it, nobody actually reads privacy policies. But if you’re going to trust us with your information, you should know what we do with it. So here’s the straight answer.
When you register for our newsletter, create an account, leave a comment or contact us, we collect the personal information you provide, such as your name, email, and possibly your company if you want to share that information. If you are partnering with us as an advertiser, we will require additional information.
Like any other web site on the world wide web, we collect some simple data on usage. Your IP address, what browser you are using, which stories you read and how long you stay. Standard web analytics. We use cookies for this — those tiny files that make you remember you came back. You can disable them in your browser, but some features of the website may no longer function properly.
We use Google Analytics to analyze our traffic. If you follow us on social media, you might be able to catch some of that activity. If you click on an ad, the advertiser can tell us that someone clicked (they don’t tell us who specifically).
We use your info to keep Coruzant running. Sending you newsletters you signed up for. Remembering your login. Bug fixes. To make the site load faster. Just some general housekeeping.
We track who’s reading what to see what’s working and what’s not. If people are bouncing on all about robotics but lingering for 10 minutes on stuff about AI, that tells us something. We use that to improve content.
Ads Or Coruzant is free. We partner with ad networks that serve you ads based on your interests. If you’ve been reading about cybersecurity, maybe you’ll get an ad for a security tool. This is the essence of targeted advertising. You can opt out of personalized ads – links are below.
At times we must disclose information because of legal requirements. Court orders, investigations here and over there. We don’t do this unless we have to.
There’s no selling of your data. Full stop.
We do share information with:
All newsletters include an unsubscribe link at the bottom. Click it and you are off the list. Simple.
You can turn off cookies in your browser. You may experience some site functionality issues but you will be able to read the articles.

You’ll still see ads, just not ones that are targeted to your interests.
We use standard security practices to protect your information. Encryption, secure servers, access controls. Nothing is 100% bulletproof online, but we take reasonable precautions.
As long as we need it to run the site and fulfill our legal obligations. If you delete your account, we’ll delete your data within a reasonable timeframe, keeping only what we’re required by law to retain.
Depending where you live, you can:
We’ll update this page if our privacy practices change. The date at the top shows when we last revised it. Keep checking back occasionally.
